1. Inform your lawyer that you need to carry out a transfer of equity
2. Your lawyer will request a redemption figure from your lender for your current mortgage (if applicable)
3. Your lawyer will review the title on your property and ensure there are no issues to prevent transfer
4. Your lawyer will send you transfer forms to sign and return
5. Your current mortgage will be redeemed (if applicable)
6. Your lawyer will send documents to the Land Registry to register the new owners.
