When choosing someone to complete your conveyancing, it is important to know that there are two different organisations who can complete your conveyancing. These are conveyancing solicitors and licensed conveyancers.

Licensed conveyancers specialise in the completion of sale and purchase instructions. They are not conveyancing solicitors however they are regulated by the council for licensed conveyancers (CLC).

A licensed conveyancer has training in conveyancing matters and is able to carry out the same service that a solicitor would with respect to conveyancing. There are a great number of licensed conveyancing organisations, and they often offer competitive fees for conveyancing.

Before instructing a licensed conveyancer in your property matter it is always prudent to check out the organisation to ensure that they are likely to complete your conveyancing hassle free. If the licensed conveyancers have a host of bad reviews online (Google the organisation name and the word 'review') then it is probably best to avoid instructing them as your licensed conveyancer.
